The cam help power but move it higher up in the rpm band. U found power to get it moving. U will have to gear it and install a stall converter that puts it in the power band.

What was the weather like before and after? If it was cool weather when you ran the 15.8 and hot when you ran the 15.4 then you may have a 14 second pass without changing anything when the cool air comes back around

I dont think you have enough converter. You probably need somewhere around a 3200-3400 stall. And gears would definatly help. The tires are probably killing you too

That converter is not helping you either. Prolly a dog for a while until the upper rpms. You need a 3200 verter and 4.10s

36-3800 stall torque converter and 4.56-5.13 gears if you want a decent ET.

Those tires are killing you. Plus a stall would help. I actually wouldn't be surprised if you 60' was slower after the cam swap. Do you have the slips to compare? Do you have the dates of the run, and were they at the same track? We can check the DA, and see if that hurt you too.

Different converter, 4.56's out back, and you're in a heavy truck with big tires. It probably wouldn't hurt to get your tune looked at, either. Maybe you should be disappointed in your expectations, rather than your results.
