Watch Stock48 Kill himself!!
I stopped by Jarrett's (stock48) place on my way to the Mojave mile and accompanied him to the local Sand drags that are near him to watch him race fully built and caged alcohol trucks in his mostly stock (comparatively) shop truck. Had a good time and almost died at the expense of Jarrett street testing his steering and suspension.
I would have recorded a few more of his street testing but the ridiculousness of his truck scared me to the point that I had to use two hands to hold on. And thankfully in the following runs I was tasked to stare at the Wideband and boost gauge instead of watching us crab across sidewalks and into telephone poles (which almost happened).
Hard to tell in the video because I wasn't holding the camera steady but his truck was skating around real bad. Enough to where in the later runs Jarrett admitted he was actually a bit freaked out how much it was crabbing around.
Here are the tires he was going to run at the drags 20x15's rears and 16.5x15 fronts.
Here they are on the truck at the drags, gotta admit they look damn cool!!
I was only able to stay for the first hour or so but was able to record his first two runs. He is an absolute lunatic btw!!
Mind you that the drags are only 300 feet long, but Jarrett couldn't see the flags for the finish line so stayed in it till he found the corn fields!
If you watch towards the end you'll see him start to get sideways at whatever mph he was doing. He almost called it quits after this run because of how out of control his truck is with paddle tires on all fours.
Here are a couple vids of some of the other trucks there, Jarrett was faster than most of them but there were two I believe that were stupid fast. I'm sure he'll chime in on his times and that of the faster guys but considering how expensive and built most of the other truck are to what Jarrett was racing with it's a testament to his motor building and fab skills that he can beat 85% of the guys that were out there.

Anyways, next day I went to the Mojave mile and did ok, hit 150mph around the half mile but then couldn't shift into O/D so pretty much just coasted that last half mile.
Here's a few pics of the event, I didn't take many pictures or video's because I was too busy chasing problems but still did take a couple.
You guys see the blue car three cars back of me?
Short vid I got of a Heffner TT GT-40 that launched right before me.
Few days later was the Truckin Throwdown and I took even less pictures and video's but did get a couple video's of chase launching his truck in the 1/4 mile...
There was also a lifted diesel there and he did a smokey one tire fire and dug a pretty good hole in the runway...
Here's one of his passes, not sure on his time but it was pretty quick:
Hopefully Chpspecial can chime in with some of his pics and vids of the truckin event. He took a lot of good pictures through out the day.
