He and Henry were debating whether to put them on backwards or forwards, they decided to put them on backwards so that the front paddles wouldn't fill the rear scoops and cause the rear to lose traction.
Also if you watch the first 100 feet you'll notice the massive toe in of his front tires due to the weight transfer, it lifted the front so much that we really thought he broke his suspension. Having those paddles the other way would of probably put an additional load on that front suspension being all ****-eyed. But that's just my opinion.

Times were slow this track is .5 and 12-15mph slower than the 2 other tracks around here. It's a combination of the dirt, and timing lights. Many 550HP big blocks + 150 shot can't brake 50mph. I ran 5.0@62mph fighting the truck the whole way. Tierods were deflecting and tires were pointing at each other. Quickest time in my open paddle truck class was 4.45@64mph from a really trick 59 chevy truck on 37x17 stagger super scoops, 1700HP blown alcohol 565CI BBC. 2nd fastest was a 4.8 @58mph out of a striped down 88 chevy with a SBC and F1R procharger on alcohol with super scoops as well. Father son team that has been racing for well over 15 yrs.
Im confident I would have been 4.80's no prob with a good set of scoops. I was running dune buggy tires rated for 450 HP lol This was also a pro tree and I was racing off the foot brake against transbrake guys.
