Went to the Track Today
Maons /Dixon Dragway
Temp: 68
humidity 60%
I made two runs:
R/T... .528
60... 2.366
330... 6.558
1/8... 10.052
MPH... 70.89
1000... 13.017
1/4... 15.572
MPH...87.53
Braked to 1,000RPM- then mashed the pedal
R/T... .304
60... 2.323
330 ...6.455
1/8... 9.891
MPH... 72.05
1000 ... 12.820
1/4... 15.359
MPH... 87.74
Right headlight removed, engine temp was reading 180*
Braked to 1,000 RPM- then mash and go.
I executed both runs exactly the same- only difference was headlight removal and cooler engine temp. In between the runs, I opened the hood, and in the staging lane, I turned the truck off and left it nuetral and coasted, until there was only two cars in front me. Then I started it.
I'm thinking with a good tune, which I'm getting next week, and my new(new to me) intake, I'll break 14's, easily. Add some taller gears, 3.73's or 4.10's and I should be able to bring that even lower and (possibly) get my 60' times closer to 2.00.
My truck is running rich, which I know is hurting me and hurt my times today, but I just wanted to see where I'm at, time wise.
Only ran twice because survival instincts kicked in, I got hungry and needed food!
Def. had fun running and spectating.

LSD-Limited Slip Dff.?? Isn't that what the G80 is? You're probably right about the 2.0's, but I was able to do it in my previous truck, so we'll see- Something to shoot for.

ahh, figures...lol I know with the gears I have, I'm not putting much stress on it- Pulls like slug off the line.
I'll look into the LSD. Where's a good place to get some gears and LSD. Seems like I saw some on one of the site sponsors...
Hey, at least I ran what I thought I would, low 15's.

You will want lsd, my truck could not hook real well, hence the same 60ft, and it was like 85 at 1200ft.
to get that 2.0 you will need more than just gear, from what ive seen you need drag radials or slicks and a stall.
