What should I have run?
I went to Atco Raceway Friday night to see what I could run after removing about 400lbs from my tuck since my last time out. The sun was already down and it was cold (31*) so traction was a big issue.
Last time out I had 3/4 tank of gas and it was hot (92*). My fastest time was 14.423. Since then I have lowered the truck from 2/4 to 4/6 and swapped out my rear bumper for a roll pan. I also got rid of the spare tire, tow hitch, and a rubber bed mat that has to weigh 65lbs or more.
Friday night I had 1/4 tank of 93 octane V-Power and like I said it was cold. My truck was tuned in this weather so I figured that may have helped. For the life of me I could not get traction. I tried removing air, no burnout, longer burnout. Nothing worked. One run I smoke the tires so bad I ran 16 something. Once the tires caught things felt good.
I am wondering what I could/should have run if I had slicks or any kind of traction. Here is a list of my mods:
2005 Silverado RCSB
5.3L stock internals
K&N FIPK intake
180* thermostat
Magnaflow cat back
Custom 93 octane tune (street tune tweaked on dyno)
G80 3.73 rear
Built transmission
265/60/18 Falken Zeix tz01 tires
I know my RT was not great but I can improve that. If I hooked does it look like I could have hit high 13s? Every run I spun bad and the worst run I spun 1st and most of 2nd.
Run 1
R/T .600
60' 2.266
330 6.260
1/8 9.496
MPH 76.14
1000 12.284
1/4 14.690

1/8 9.550
MPH 77.14

No stall unfortunately. As far as the built transmission here is what I remember, I got it done last December.
Kevlar Band
Shift Kit
2nd and 4th servos
Heavy duty sprag
Heavy duty sun shell
heavy duty 9 clutch set
To be honest I forget what else. They are a reputable performance tranny shop in my area. It is more than just a shift kit and servos. I didn't have the money at the time so I didn't get the better TC. I really wish I did get it though. The stock tranny died an ugly death and this was a forced upgrade not a planned one.

ya man like said above your mph will increase a little with a better 60' but not quite to the 13's IMO, but you definitely could squeeze into low 14s, just practice gettin it off the line and good luck

Wow our trucks are pretty close. About the only difference may be the wheels and what was done in the tune. I may be a little lighter too.
Guess I had my hope set a bit to high. Well now I have a goal for next year.
