Default What times to expect

I am think about running my truck at the track soon. I will be removing my spare tire and my tail gate. I was wondering what I should expect to run if i launch from a brake stand in 4wd and when I just nail it in 2wd. Also is it better to launch in auto 4wd or 4hi. I know that there are many different factors to consider, traction, temp etc. Based on my mods what can I expect? Thank you.

I was hoping to break into the 14's. When you shift out of 4hi can you do it under full throttle with out breaking anything or do have to lift for a second?

Unless there is something missing I highly doubt you'll hit low 15s in that truck. Bone stock they only run 15.8-16.2 avg.

I dont see any mods in your sig that would show a 1second gain.

My guess would be 15.5 if everything goes right and the DA is good.

I saw quite a few NBS C/K1500 trucks at the track on Sunday....they all ran 15.8-16.1.

So what about launching in 4wd and then shifting in 2wd? Can it be done under full throttle?

if you are having trouble with traction go for it. I never had problems with it and similar mods.

It didnt have the do the above method until I got the stall in But if ytou do spin then that is the way to do it.

I was spinning through 3rd gear.... . Launching in 4hi made a huge difference.
