Is it better to use auto or 4wd hi? Do you leave it engaged or take it out once you get going down the track? Are all of you launching in auto or 4wd hi to get the posted 60 ft times?

had some 1.60's in the past , i havent really tried launching mine with the turbos though. it should see 1.5's with a 2 step . had a 1.85 but a 10.7@130 et on 22's for the last run , i weigh in @ 5700 lbs with me in on race day. no weight reduction done nor planned , run it as you run it on the street.

4HI....in auto 4wd i've heard you can break **** dont know what but thats just what ive read on this site ,,,what i do is 4HI launch and shift out of it in to 2HI as soon as it shifts to 2nd gear....

unless you let of the throttle in 4 hi it doesent actually disengage if your wot .

it might not disengage but it does switch to 2wd.. dont wana argue but as an example if i switch out before the 1-2 shift because of the shift kit i chirp my tires on the shift and thats how i know its back on 2wd..
also not too long ago i raced lee on his truck.. i accidently hit the 2wd on the launch so truck took of hard for the first second and rt after it disengaged and truck just roasted the tires since i run on street tires... it might just b my truck but mine does disengage..
