Wheatley Tune only 2010 AWD Sierra Denali - 13.84!!
Hey Guys,
Made another trip to the dragway on friday night. I loaded a Wheatley Tune into a buddy's 2010 Sierra Denali who has a "custom" cat back and a K&N CAI. The cat back isnt worth anything but noise. He ran a best of 13.843 @ 99.85 MPH. He was running on steel 17" caddy shipping wheels, but other than that it was untouched. Hows that for IMPRESSIVE! The DA was about -300, so nothing drastic at all. With headers and a little more weather on our side this thing will see 13.5's with ease. Damn I wish I had a 6 speed...

It's a custom dual cat back with a flowmaster muffler and pipes that aren't mandrel bent. I would put money down that it made almost no improvemt over stock. Even people with nice bolt on 3.5" mandrel kits don't gain much over the stock 6.2 exhaust. It is loud as all hell though... Crazy the difference between this truck with a 40 series and my old Vortec 350.

Yup its an awesome truck. I had been trying to convince him to get headers for a while, but he wouldn't budge. I would be pretty happy with a 13.5 in a daily driver like that... especially with absolutely no sacrifices in drivability, because lets face it, even a small cam has its negatives. Sure its got its positives, and I think its worth it, but sometimes I wish my truck still ran smooth as silk.
