is it worth it?????????
im a chevy guy and know how they do with certain changes but a buddy of mine has a 2005 ex.cab short bed f-150 fx4 with the 5.4 i had him get the corsa cat back and the edge programmer and he alresy had a intake BUT he recently got 305-60-18's for his truck so i told him to get better performance he should upgrade to 4.10's and a true trac ....i believe he has 3.73's now is this good advise ????????i know its a graet setup for a silverado but is it the right one for his heavy f150????? its a dd and he tows with it but is also on the highway aswell its gonna cost about 1300-1500 bucks is the performance gonna be worth the price???? thanx

most people I have heard of doing the swap to 4.10s from 3.73s, don't notice much difference except maybe a little drop in gas mileage. I personally am not switching to 4.10s because of this.
But the f-150s have crappy mileage in the first place, so it can't get too much worse.
The f-150s are really heavy, so it'll take a lot of work to make it even remotely quick in the first place.

hahahaha yeah i know there heavy as hell buit he loves his truck and wont get a chevy its funny we both have an intake but he has a full exhaust and the best programmer he can get for his truck and even with a badly sliping tranny he only beats me by a truck lol i told him as soon as i get my tranny and a tune he wont even be able to read my plate and he doubts me but hes still nervous so he wants alil morei figured that the 4.10's would make up for the 2in. more tire he put on her and there heavier then his stockers idk more input would be helpful thanx again

hell never have real power at best hell get longtubes to go along with his edge programmer and intake and exhaust but he wants to keep his gas miliage as is so i figured the 4.10's would basically make up for the 305-60-18 he put on there
