Cool 224/114 Cam Dyno results

Cant say i'm really happy. I was hoping for a small improvement at 3500 up but actually lost Torque across the chart and lost Hp until 4800rps where it takes off.
Where my previous TQ was 329.4@4500rpm it is now 327.3@4874rpm
" " " HP was 304.3@5263rpm it is now 339.3@6500rpm.

Cam spec is 224/224 114 lsa .578".

Was i expecting too much?
EDit: Dyno chart.

well you gained 35 more hp thats a plus, tq was lost due to the 114 LSA, it also could be a difference in a spike, you have both graphs? take a look and see where you lost it, could be heat soak, could be alot of things.

I'll post the graphs tomorrow. Gotta get the scanner working

Edit: What's heat soak?
Lost TQ everywhere before 4800, after that the curve falls off less than before.

Peak horsepower looks good though. 340rwhp is good power from your set up.

6500 rpm is pretty high. Where are you shifting at to take advantage of that high power curve.

Is your coverter in yet? That may pick up the slack down low.

Post the graphs up so we can cross referance.

I'll really interested in what you have going on because your numbers seem high stock and even high now with the cam.

What will happen if i have the cam advanced 4degrees.? Would that keep the curves the same but put the peaks back a few hundred rpm ?
Or does advancing the cam alter the curves also?
Thanks guys

Edit: Shifting at 6250? Tach only goes to 6000 but i think thats where Rick has it. And yes the stall is in and is good. A little weird, but i'm sure i'll get used to it quickly .

According to the graph your HP looks about right. You say it peaks at 6500 but it gets right about the peak just prior to 6k which is normal.

The only part I'm concerned with is the lose of TQ. Anything prior to 3k isnt such a big deal with your converter but you are losing a decent chunk in the lower region.
