Default 4.8L dyno numbers...

well got the truck back from they dyno the other day and it clocked in with 309rwhp. This was done on the 22's. I never got a chance to post it up on here..

862 heads milled 20 thousandths, pacesetter longtube headers, comp cam 220/224 cam, single 40series flowmaster, Y-pipe w/no cats, Cold air intake,

also have installed 3.73 gears, limite slip diff, 3200 TCI stall converter, and 160 thermo...

Still plan on getting roller rocker arms, E-fans, Underdrive pulleys, and nitrous before i have everything transfered over to the 6.0L

thanks, i have alot of respect for the 4.8L's they put down some decent numbers. That nitrous system is really going to wake yours up! I probably wont end up spraying my 4.8L at all and just keep the kit to transfer to the 6 liter. That way if the 6 liter goes I still have my backup motor to slap back in with better gas mileage.

I cant wait for the install if everything works out the install will be a tech article in Sport Truck magizine hopefully the install will be within the next few weeks

Thats some good numbers, for the 4.8, people have been getting alot more out of these in the past 2 years. Sad part is is that that stock 6.0 will put close to that much out.

Funny thing is thats why you see alot of people doing 6 liter swaps shortly after since everything pretty much bolts on over.. GM did a nice job on the ls1 motor format.
