its a dynomite dynometer, but it was calibrated to read the horspower exactly like dynojet
my next mod would be the CAM, i searched the forum and went clueless i dnt know what to choose now. i will be running the stock torque converter, so will i be ok if i used one of the top u mentioned, the lift also high so my concern is with the stall i have i may loose the lunch " bottom end"
by the way do u know what is the factory profile and lobe separation of the CAM.

on the older iron block 5.3L that was rated in the 285-295 range the stock specs are 190/191@.050 with .466/.457" lift. I'm not sure what the lobe seperation angle was though. Somewhere around 114-116 would seem right.

I'm running the middle cam of those links and haven't lost a lot of bottom end. It's a real good cam. Besides, if you want to get it back just put some gears in. Doesn't hurt your mpg as much as you think.

Dyno jets read higher numbers so you can still squeeze out plenty more rwhp. The dyno i was on reads real low.
