Default H/c 5.3l - 328 Hp / 317 Tq

5.3L/A4
LS6 heads, milled .020''
219/219 .630'' 112LSA
Truck Intake, 78mm
Hooker LTs
2.5'' duals

-----

SAE, 5 smoothing
Converter Locked
26* of timing
12.8 A/F, except the messy spot between 3000 - 4000 RPM

Bolt Ons : 267 HP / 298 TQ
H/C : 328 HP / 317 TQ

Nothing impressive. Convinced that the LS6 heads haven't done anything. I was making 300TQ @ 3000 RPM with just bolt ons. Full exhaust I don't think is hurting me. Could be wrong. Pulls right up to 6000 which is impressive. Bit of valve float I think above 6500 on another pull that was up to 6800. Patriot Golds and these lobes isn't probably the best bet if you have plans of spinning it up high. Short belt would net me +10. I'm going to throw some advance in the cam with an adjustable chain... Work on the suspension/tune and see if I can get my ET down for fall weather.... Alright, that's all for now.

Kyle

I would think that truck should be in the mid 12's. I like the power curve up high, it doesnt appear to be falling off to bad.

Did you ever get your converter right for N/A launches?

It'll be there with a combination of tuning/weather/suspension. Converter was swapped to a PY3600, 9.5'' job. It flashes to 3200-3300 on motor, which is much better than the previous converter that flashed to a near 2700. Torque is the key. I'd like to recam, new heads/intake, but I'm going to mess with the suspension a bit. It's obvious that tuning fueling/timing will be needed out of the hole. 3000-4000 on the graph is a bit lumpy.

honestly, i expected some higher numbers out of your combo as well. Out of curiosity, why didnt you throw a little more compression into the mix?

I was too. When Lance and myself raced the other night we both trapped a best of 104.8, so before getting on the dyno I figured I'd make 340 + what the ASP pulley and LS6 intake has helped him to. He did 340/340 with the 220 cam, truck intake, short belt and now has the ls6 intake and asp pulley. So, I don't really know. Trap speed is usually a great indication of power. Maybe it's just one of those dyno things???

Compression. I didn't want to mill the **** out of the #243s.

humm...
dyno's are overrated. we all know the track is where it matters kyle.

i'm picking up a block this weekend so you might have a potential buyer for those 243's.

Just missing the ASP pulley and a short belt
