26* of timing

Bolt Ons : 267 HP / 298 TQ
H/C : 328 HP / 317 TQ

Nothing impressive. Convinced that the LS6 heads haven't done anything. I was making 300TQ @ 3000 RPM with just bolt ons. Full exhaust I don't think is hurting me. Could be wrong. Pulls right up to 6000 which is impressive. Bit of valve float I think above 6500 on another pull that was up to 6800. Patriot Golds and these lobes isn't probably the best bet if you have plans of spinning it up high. Short belt would net me +10. I'm going to throw some advance in the cam with an adjustable chain... Work on the suspension/tune and see if I can get my ET down for fall weather.... Alright, that's all for now.

Kyle

that would put compression close to factory cause those heads if i remember right are 65cc are 62cc with 5.3 heads are 60cc and most of the time they are milling them .030 so that would put them around 56cc to 57cc
just thinking out loud
on the other hand the time of 12.8 and the numbers are right.
not tring to throw it in your face i did 336hpand 340tq but this was also with 34* of timeing so that may be a little difference
were you getting knock were you running super unleaded
why so little timeing.

on the other hand how does that thing idle that is a big *** cam

I milled them .020'' to get compressoin back up to stock. Yeah, the numbers are a bit low for the mods, but not low compared to what others are making. With a shortbelt it should be good for 340, which is pretty consistant with a lot of cam-only 5.3s. I need to do some tweaking and see if I can get the numbers up to par. It idles just like any other 220 cam on a 112. Lift shouldn't create lope because it has no effect on overlap.

Thumbs up

That's tight dude. Whatever amount of power the shortbelt gives ya, my point is only that I'm not underpowered in comparison to most NA 5.3s, but I am underpowered for what I got. I know I was expecting a good +10 +15 over most of yall with the addition of the LS6 heads and aggressive 220* lobed cam. 328HP with 26* of timing, no short belt, no ASP pulley, and thru full exhaust out the rear isn't horrible, but I still thought it would be a bit higher. No big deal. I'll get there soon.

the curve looks good I think whats hurting you is the lower compression and valve job.
Overall thats a good dyno.
Intake?
What are the valve size? Over-valved engines perform better in the upper range but the truck intake cuts that possibility.
