Default 5.3l makes 386 to the tires.

PBMax's 5.3l is pretty much done now.

Its in a ext cab s10.

2007 5.3l I think?
799 heads ported, valve job and a little milling.
BEi Custom 227 cam
dual springs and what not.
Stock intake and throttle body for now.
Custom made headers, 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 with 3" collector.

The spike is the converter lock up and peak power was at 6050rpm.

whats up with the huge spike? did it make this kind of power on more than 1 dyno run? the only reason i ask is because after the spike, it doesnt settle back into the old power curve.

The numbers are higher after the spike due to the converter locking. Lock it earlier and the curve would have been higher. Don't lock it at all and the curve would have been lower. What was rpm at the peaks? I am wondering where the stock truck manifold runs out of steam. Assuming you are running the truck manifold. What was the final compression?

The jump is indeed from the converter locking up. We started at 365 for the baseline and kept getting power from the tune from there. It ended up liking 29* and a 12.9:1 afr. Last 3 runs were within a 2hp, peak hp was at 6050rpm.

We just could not get the verter to lock up when we wanted, seems HPT is very buggy on this ECU. The VCM controls would not work well either.

We will work with it more and use it as a intake manifold test vehicle. Going to try a 102 FAST and then a Edelbrock Pro Flo.
