Default 6.0 cam hp too low??

Ok we so took my friends truck to do a dyno tune on the new setup, here are the mods

2004 silverado ecsb 4x4
6.0 lq4 engine
232/234 .598 112 cam
pacesetter LT's with ORY pipe
Performabuilt level 3 tranny
3800 billet stall

The best we got out of it tuned was 311 rwhp and 329 torque in third gear with converter locked. Do these numbers look a little too low for the mods it has?

Oh yeah, how does he like the torquer 2?

With that cam in that setup with the converter locked I'd expect 350-370rwhp or so.

Hmm, those numbers seem awfully low to me. I would think that should be good for at least 350hp.

Exactly! So I would expect alot better from that setup. Nice numbers btw, I have a cam very close to what you have in my LQ9 and it runs out pretty damn good.

Maybe an issue with the tune.

First pull made 305 hp then he got the AFR to like 12.7 and with 27-28 of timing. then it made the 311. anymore timing over that would make it loose power. He said that maybe a cable/spark plug could of not been working and make it run on 7 cylinders. thats the next thing were going to check. Also hes running 08 NNBS spark plug wires with tr-6 if that has anything to do with it?

Do remember that you have an NV3500 and do not spin thru a transfer case. Traditionally, the difference between a T56 and a 4l60e on the dyno in an f-car is roughly 20rwhp. So take that into account.

If the truck was running on 7 cylinders, I really think you'd notice it?? After a header install, I forgot to fully install one of the plugs on the coil and it was running on 7 cylinders and it was stumbling and bumbling. Maybe if it was like that for a while though the computer would adapt and it would run smooth. I don't know.
