Reason I ask is because years ago I used to work for Autolite engineering back when they were releasing the iridium XP line of plus and we had some great results testing these style plugs in extreme cylinder pressure applications (early "TwinForce" Ford stuff, GM LNF turbo, etc etc).

I figured it may be worth a try when spark blowout is an issue, especially in Foose's case. There is a lot of internet rumor about running "finewire" style plugs in boosted/nitrous applications with little/no actual evidence of issues.

I believe they still come from the factory with a gap spec of 0.038 to 0.042 inches. I'd recommend starting there and working down if necessary to a minimum of 0.030. Be careful not to crush the iridium electrode tip if you do give it a try.

I believe a plug that would work well for both trucks would be a Autolite XP103. It's the lowest heat range plug that will fit LS heads and it also is a half projected electrode (same design as the NGK plugs) and is not a full projected tip like the stock LS1 style plugs.

How fun is this truck on the street on the 20's?? Can you get any traction from a 40-50 roll??

I'm wanting to build a 4wd but found several great deals on 2wd trucks..

At that power level, you can't beat a 4wd. Trust me.

I used 4wd with street tires at the track.

He makes more power than me, and mine is a handfully on the street 20's. I can break the tires loose at 80 without a problem at 15 PSI. When I had it at 17 PSI it was breaking loose at 100. If my truck had torsion bars, I would already have a front axle under it with an AWD transfer case.
