people have been turning these motors to 7K for a long time. It all boils down to how you drive it. Also, u dont need to turn one to 7K to make great power. Just all in what u want it to do. If he feels it best to go to 7K thin by all means turn that beast loose lol.

Props on ur Set Up Bro and doing something diff than everybody else, i just had a 227/235 cam on my 5.3 and ran 12.5 proly as fast or faster than a lot of 5.3s on here with a 3600 stall now installed a 237/242 cam .620 .625 and upgrading stall to 4k plus, very nice numbers slap a 4k or higher stall and youll run 12s all day Long!!

i say some nice heads to go with that cam a good size converter u can put down some good numbers......right now i am runing a 236 236

Very nice for a 5.3L. A TBSS intake or if you can, a LSXRT 102mm intake would be very nice on your set up.

Trans and stall are the next items to buy for it, then after that Big cubes!

Get a 4400 and 410 or 430Gears for that bish can Fly of the Line cause it's all about the 60ft on these heavy trucks in order to get the good E/T but Good Luck Bro!!
