I do agree with you about the HO part. Guess i won't know until Garisson speaks up in here.

Anyways... I guess the overall consensus is that 5.3's making 330+hp is a possibility. Especially with the NNBS...

Idk if y'all have heard, but I blew my engine, and now I'm on a hunt for another 5.3l, but this time I'd like to find a L33 new crate engine, to go along with my 60cc Pat Perf Aluminum heads...

I appreciate it, but I'm leaning towards crate. The block that blew was my orig @ 169k mi. I'm still calling around to find a crate L33.

garrett made 320 with cam and bolt-ons with his 4.8 iirc! The dyno was prolly giving him a little bit, but regardless, I'm pretty sure 340/330 would be normal numbers for cam and all bolt ons in a 5.3....

The only reason he made that is because it downshifted and spiked the dyno. A 4.8 will NEVER put out 320 with cam an boltons. Corey had H/C bolt ons and made 318.

The 330hp mark is possible just depends on the cam/ tuning
