i ran like 12:5:1 back in the day with 706 casting heads ported, but it wasnt enough for what i wanted
everyone says 12:1 is to much, appearantly they never ran it before, i used to drive mine 70 miles one way to work without any issues...
i will be running the better part of 12 on the 408 gunning for 600 to the wheels

Why are running bottle pressure at 1100psi? How much pressure drop do you have at the end of a pass with say half a bottle. Going rich? Jet it for 900psi and I bet it doesn't drop near as much, and it should be more consistant run to run.
BTW, some of the reason he has more TQ than your example? My guess, the cyl heads and compression have a lot to do with it. That LS3 head is what a 260+ cc runner? Probably a lot bigger than DBRODS's.. Port velocity suffers, and when that happens, so does TQ.
I wish you luck on the 600rwhp 408. I'm hoping my AFR headed 418 makes 530ish through the 80E and 4,56 gears 12 bolt, with 11.15-1cr 245/260 .64x/.62x cam.. But I should be able to make up for it with the 2 stage N20 kit
