Default H/C LQ4 dyno numbers

I know this is not a truck, but I thought some of you guys might like to read about the results of a stock bottom end LQ4. This is on my wife's bracket race car.

Finally we had a chance to tune the Z28, with the stock bottom end LQ4 I put together and installed. First pass last week was a 465rwhp on a Dynapack. This week, after servicing the converter, we were at 471rwhp. I was aiming for 475-480 or so. I fixed the fuel and added some timing and came up with 494rwhp! ... can't recall the torque, but it was around 500rwtq as well. I made some other changes, but it didn't like it. Talk about power, even through our 12-bolt (spooled 4.11) and RMVB TH400 using an 8", 5000 stall (from the HPTuners scans) ... oh and 91 octane fuel. Hopefully this means the Z28 will run mid-low 10s on this temporary engine. I will see about uploading a copy of the graph, it is unusual to say the least. Not bad for four quick sessions on the dyno with in an hour's time.

Theres no reason why they shouldnt, a 12 bolt and a th400(old school 80e) are power robbers, only thing he has going for him is smaller tires. All the rest of the mods he listed we can have on our trucks with the exception of the 1 7/8 headers.
