It does look like you gained decent power in higher rpm's. What rpm are you shifting at?

Keep in mind, the old dyno torque peak of 390 was a spike. The real torque peak was closer to 380. If you look closely, you did not lose any torque at all, but rather gained everywhere. Get those shift points right and you'll drop ET in a big way!

i was shifting 6900 with the 226 cam and now 7000 with this cam, but there will be some trial and error runs playing with the shiftpoints just like we did with the 226 cam. normal driving, and down low power under hard accel feels exactly like my old cam to my butt, but the real results will be told on the track.

patrick also specked this cam out with a ported fast 92mm intake manifold, and nitrous in mind so theres still some room to grow.

Nice numbers Stewart. What year is your LS1 and are you still running stock rod bolts?

Also, I was kind of hoping you'd start the pull around 2500 or so. I'd like to see what kind of torque that cam is making at 3000.

After seeing this I kinda wish I took my compression to 11 or 11.5:1 instead of 10.6:1. Oh well.

stew, **** can that damn intake, i bet you'll pick up more tq with the truck intake, i can careless what people think of the ls6 intake, its not for us, its a torque robbing intake, and you;ll need it more than you will the upper HP.. the fast will do the trick but i still think you have what it takes, but its not gonna happen with the ls6 intake. you might hit a 11.99 past but i personally think you can get lower with the truck, who knows prove me wrong please sir!! good luck and if anyone wants it to happen its ME

thats an awesome gain man, now i think i really am going to upgrade the 224 i've got. whats up with your first graph? i wish it started lower so i could see the TQ difference from 3000 on...

BTW with that increase up top, you'll hit 11's easily..

it fell out its ok though because just a few nights before i was watching the A/F on charlies laptop and it was sitting in the green zone

and the reason for my previous dyno starting at 5500....when you grab the shifter in 3rd and cruise it for a few secs on the dyno the converter locks. when they stomp it the converter unlocks and flashes like a motha. conleys got around that problem by slowly getting into wot instad of just jabbing it but you can see where they did the same thing as ard on the first dyno pull.

i have to start my dyno at 70mph otherwise it will shift down to 2nd gear any lower. maybe ill have charlie set up my tow/haul button as my dyno button and have it locked in third at 40mph and keep it to where it wont shift down or unlock under wot.
