One of the keys to good L92 headed cam choices are a big intake/exhaust split. L92's also don't need nearly as much cam duration to make the same power and more rpm as cathedral style heads.

That is definitely the trend I see with both L92 and LS7 headed engines. Small cams make a very wide power band from just off idle to over 6000. I was very suprised to see the peak torque in this build occur at over 5000
But it is a similar trend I'm seeing with good breathing heads on 5.3l engines.

Congrats on your big small block Ray. Very impressive

I think the torque issue is from tuning. I'm going to try to help him post the graph sometime yet today. It was well over 400 ft lbs. of torque at around 2500rpm from what I understand. I think that those L92's are a good choice for alot of engines as long as they are used for the right reasons and with the right parts around them. BTW, good work on those heads.

Thanks much
Our L92 program is has proven to be a very nice part. Ray's big valve version gives LS7 type performance at an affordable cost. I agree with you that the L92's need to be used with the right combination of parts and applications. They dyno sheet is impressive especially when looking at how wide the torque is spread around.
