Yeah. I think it ended up making the gear ratio like a 2.7X or something. He said he pulled it to 150 mph. You could see the tire crinkling in two places..lol. Im looking for a new setup. This is what came on the truck.

That's what I thought too. But I have no traction off the line, or even with a 40 mph punch. That converter is for a fbody. I know it stalls a little higher in my truck. Cal tracs, LS unit, and shorter tire setup are next.

Im not really looking to have the fastest 1/4 mi time. Just something that makes good power and runs good on the street. I might try a looser converter. Im going to run this one for a little bit at least.

There were 4 pulls. The first 3 were in 3rd. It made crap for hp, but good torque numbers. Best pull in 3rd was 340/380. I was getting a little sick...haha. After trying a bunch of stuff, we checked the transmission fluid. It was 3 quarts low. Topped it off, and a 2nd gear pull got the 404/391. My pants started getting a little tight after that.

Good Numbers, so it made more power in 2nd then in 3rd? Shouldnt it be the opposite?

Yeah it should. In those first three pulls, the transmission was slipping. It was after 5. My appointment was at 2. Once I saw the power was there, it idled awesome, I wasn't real worried about seeing another 3rd gear run. He probably would've done it if I had asked.

Thanks again everyone for the compliments. I was expecting numbers 20 rwhp lower. Those first three pulls I was checking what kind of coverage I had, and getting directions to the nearest boat ramp.

when you do the LS, you should think about doing a 4.10 gear out back...
