Not to cause a wreck! But my truck made 329hp/399tq & ran a 14.15 @ 97mph 2.17 60ft! Some say the torque ain't right but I know I can feel it!
Looking @ dyno #'s once made me sick! Now a just scroll down

I know its just a dyno number, and that a dyno is just a tuning tool. But my track time was run with stock gears and stock stall. If i would run this setup with 4.56 gears and a 4000 stall i think i could manage a 1.7x 60'. Thats about 5 to 6 tenths just to the 60. I would imagine that should get me a full second to the quarter mile. And my cam is a high rpm monster which is also gonna get me better dyno numbers. My peak tq was right at 5000 rpm and my peak hp was right at 6500 rpm.
those right there in RED answered youre problem, the dyno gave you peak numbers, how far you carry the peak numbers through the powerband will gain you better times, the torque converter will get the power to the ground sooner, you just have to figure out which stall is needed, thats gonna depend on when your powerband comes in, the worse thing you dont wanna do it over stall it nor over gear it, the 4:56 gears will help specially on the ET. then to gain more it would have to consist on suspension work head work and flowing exhaust then not leaving out the intake a dyno isnt just a tuning tool theres good info if you know how to read it, gives you good datavon what parts to match to your engine or build..takes alot of the guess work out..
