Ok! I think you are right. I didn't want to change anything at first. I wanted a controlled environment so we could see the differences of the intakes. I didn't want to change the tune, dyno, or the temp (I was going to pick a day with the same temp or close enough). but I think It will be safer by haveing rick take a look at it, before I really blow it up. I wouldn't mind blowing it up if that was all she could take, but blowing it up because of it not being tuned right would suck. thanks guys! I will just have to wait for rick to tune it.

It would be very easy for me to swap manifolds while my engine is still on the stand!!
Did you use the truck rails and injectors? Did you cut the water pump neck and the alt bracket?
No tuning at all. I used the truck rails and injectors. I didn't touch the water pump at all. My truck does not have cruise control, so I just cut the little clip for the cable off the throttle body. Here is a pic.

Ok, I don't understand what is going on here, but it does not look good. Intake is on and tuned. I have very good vacume at idle -20 with the ls1 intake. with the truck intake I had -18. That is a good thing. Now, I have not touched the boost *** at all. It was making 17 psi peak and 14 psi during the last time it dynoed (550hp,647tq), now on the dyno it only made 12 psi peak and 8psi during the run at the same setting. It made only 433hp With the truck intake about 5 months ago, I made 11psi peak and 9psi during the run and made 480hp and 550tq. I was thinking less restriction less boost presure but same amount of air, but no it's making less power? So it is not the same amout of air right? I checked all my piping, intercooler, and my intake today and no leaks. I used a presurizing system that blows smoke and 8 psi into the piping to help find the leaks. I have a buddy at a porshe dealership that lets me use it. I checked the boost presure at the turbo and the manifold and its the same reading. I am thinking that someone may have touched the boost *** and I didn't know it. This just does not make any since..... I think! I don't know, but I was thinking that maybe the reason that I have never been able to hold boost peak is because of the 317's over bore 4.0 and the 5.3's 3.89 bore. Maybe the motor is not producing consistain amounts of exhaust flow? I dont know just a thought. I will be going back to the dyno tomarrow and turning the boost *** back up. I'll post the dyno sheet tomarrow.

Ok! I can't say the ls1 is better or worst, but I can say DAMMMM! I just made 629hp and 684tq at 20 psi. It would of made more but I blew a fuse in my meth so I started to lean out at the top end. I'll post the dyno sheet later. I am happy with it.....

Good God? Is this on the stock shortblock??? Thats nuts. If so, maybe I'll hold off on getting the 6.0 built and just run with it for a while.
