Took my truck to the dyno today...

im not so used to reading dyno graphs but, why isn't ur graph symmetrical...
ur graph give the illusion that torque falls on its face when really the entire graph it fluctuates only 70lbft..
im just curios why its graphed like that???

i definetly agree. but hey what do those silly numbers count for anyways as long as it runs good and put down some good times, thats what really counts.

Yeah, I actually don't like it that way either.. I think its just the software he's running. The dyno sheets that come from his dyno are always a little weird looking, like you said, it looks like the torque falls 100 lbft where it hits peak hp. But its not.

yep thats all it has, helped him do the hole thing, was vary suprized myself, it is a big cam and it the boltons it needs to breath. this truck will fly once its its got a 3800 stall in it! mine did 316 on the same dyno and i ran a 13.4, but i dont know how much it will lose once he puts a stall in it.

If the truck has stock non-flex fuel injectors the debate is over on weather or not it made the power. 300 to the tires on our Dynojet will have them at 95-100% at 13:1 AFR on most trucks. Got to love the Mustangs dynos because the operator can fudge whatever number in there that you want to see.
Looks like a solid setup though, I bet its a fun truck!!!

a dyno number is only a dyno number but im still a believer in big cams if you have the right ramp rates and you dont overcam the heads, I had my 221 cam dyno tuned and then swaped in the 232-236 595-601 and only dialed in the air fuel on the tune and raced it with alot of the same peaple and it was faster to 10 feet, to 60 feet, and alot faster to 100. even the driveabialty was better. I have never seen two trucks with the same setup race then one guy put a bigger cam in and race again. everyone runs at different tracks at different temps and different tunes.
