man 7845...4875...7548...or whatever your name is ...**** just broke loose didn't it? I was kind of expecting a higher mph or at least a faster mph ramp but it appears it broke loose pretty quick.

That little motor has got to be in the low 800's for power wouldn't ya think? 120% on the 60's would lead ya to believe higher though.

I agree, he's making some damn good power, but IMHO you can't use a free revving spike for a HP estimate . He's lucky it didn't blow up!

the tires never spun. the welds just broke. that truck hooks with the MT drs on it. 30" tall rubber wil ldo that. but 47mph at 7666 rpms with 4.88 gears...

like stated teh MIGHTY 4.8!!!!!!!!!! its just the choice of parts.. SLP underdrive pulley, EWP, ported fast 90, 230/236 cam, 4" no muffler exhaust and 8.8 CR and a 2.0 intake valve.......guess its a working combination

OH I know, but it is interesting nevertheless. Maxing injectors out isn't a hp rater either but still definitely duly noted.

When I (er...others for me) did my first build. We took the 5.3L 20 thousands over and put JE custom supercharger pitons in it and had a final cr of about 9:1. had a 224/228 cam and I swear to this day that thing had better power than my current setup. I only had 5000 miles on it and was rolling down an on ramp at about 10 mph and just floored it. Blew that aluminum stock driveshaft in half. No highspeed shaft break, just a dead hook and power break (woo hoo caltracs I guess). I also lost a throw out bearing that day and that motor rusted as it sits, brings tears to my eyes.
