Is the Quick 16 a bracket format?
Like they run in Summit ET were the time trials for the brackets serve as the qualifying rounds for the quick 16 group of separate qualifying rounds (time trials for quicks)

But on a a dial (handicap) or heads up race?

we had somebody post this in another forum,
but the poster doesn't seem to know for sure

FOR YOU BRACKET RACERS:

rules will consist of 1 and only rule..

No tube chassis truck/suv

100$ buy in ....on a 16 truck field , payout 1200$

(has to be 16 for full payout, less entrees will be less payout according to how many entrants)

Open to all makes and models, if its a truck/suv u can compete

Run what u brung

WINNER TAKES ALL
so is that FOR YOU BRACKET RACERS: correct or is that a heads up class.

I imagine being the "Quick 16" that it's just run what ya brung. The quickest guy wins. (depending on red lights and r/t as well)

I think they're wanting a heads up, run whatcha brung deal, but I don't think you'll get 16 guys who all think there junk is fast enough to beat the other 15 guys. I'd definably suggest you run a dial in type of race. I'd be way more likely to drop a $100 to try for $1600 with that format then to try and go heads up against trucks that are 2-3 seconds faster then me and only way I could win was to luck into it. IMHO

I'm bringing this back up as it was never clearly answered. Is this a heads up race or bracketed race? Cuz I'm mostly like coming to this race since I can't make the LS1Truck shoot out and would like to do some actual racing, but I'm not gonna drop a $100 if there is one truck who is a second faster then everyone else is and will clearly win if he doesn't break anything. I want to at least have a chance at winning...

I really don't think you'll get a "run what ya brung" field of 16 trucks that run with in .3-.5 of a second willing to drop a $100 to see who can beat who heads up...
