yeah, its hard to commit cuz many things can change........ although i think, if the event was to actually happen, and only charge at the door, instead of pre-register..... say like $50 bucks per truck racing, $10 per person spectating, would be a good turn out, the problem is renting the track before hand without guarantee that ur gettin ur money back from all the attendees.

I really think you could sell your spot, before worrying about splitting the differnce of new people, although it doesnt look promising by any means.
Doing quick math do you have 6000 dollars to cover the rental, and then If we feel like it we will pay you back at the door?

Yeah the problem is fronting the money for the track rental. I have been burned many times fronting money for an event with the promise that people will show up and pay, and then people who promised they would be there do not show. The purpose of doing the pre-registration was to protect myself from getting burned again. If someone else wants to take the risk and front the $6000 for the track rental, by all means go do it. I am not that person.

Honestly I just say refund peoples money, but keep the GTG going just not the track rental...
Personally I would like to switch the location to Ennis, TX instead of Houston, would be closer for some out of state guys... Plus some of yall could crash at my house if you wanted...

I honestly think the deadline should be moved to Nov 1st and the event opened up to 'Tech members... It would be filled that way almost for sure... I go back to work next week after being laid off since Aug 31st... So it would help me... I've dropped some cash recently on my build just to try to get it together and ironed out for this event.
IMO, Nov 1 would give you plenty of time for refunds (approx 6 wks before the event) and to sort out details... Just throwing out ideers lol...

Well as it sits all, Im not gonna be able to make it unfortunately. Its gonna take me atleast 3 work days and I wont have the vacation... not getting paid for a day or two is gonna screw me up especially with having $600+ in gas. Funds are just to short right now
