Default 102 DBW on TVS 2300

Continuing the topic of conversation this morning. Has anyone used a DBW 102mm throttle body on a front inlet/front drive TVS 2300? Are Nick Williams and TPIS the only choices for DBW? Would the TVS front inlet need to be ported? What all is needed to make this happen and what improvements should I expect? Hopefully Supersub will chime in.

I made a flange that has the 102 mm opening. for it to bolt up and work for you, you will need to port your flange, either tb will work. I have seen both tb. I like TPIS over the NW.

PM me I'm interested! Also, why the TPIS over the NW( available locally)? Would anything else be needed for the swap?

I believe the the NW version uses a motor from LS3 for all there tb's where as TPIS uses the factory LS2 for the LS2 and LS3 for LS3, TPIS(that i know of) is the only company to transplant the LS2 mechanics and survive, tuning is simple and reliability is already proven of the gm components besides that the LS3 tb's will not fit the TVS2300 jackshaft models. the motor is to big and placed in a differnt location causing it to hit the jackshaft.

that adapter has a reducing ring machined into it to mate up to the 90mm opening, the one i made has no reducing. its 102mm all the way thru porting of the inlet must be done to gain full effect(usefullness) of the larger throttlebody.

Post it up in the Member Made Tools/Parts. That's what its there for. I suspect that will be my next mod.

What did you spend having the TVS inlet ported?
