112 Radix + 408 + Turbo?

Any input for turbo sizing? I may give this a shot, I don't need to sell my Radix kit right away. If it doesn't work out then I'll swap the VicJr back on and leave the turbos.
Slowhawk, do you have any detail about the car feeling like a dog in the midrange? What was the car like to tune and was there any drivability issues or anything else you did not like about the car?
Any other comments you guys have would be great.

If the mustang had a procharger or votech on it still would make big numbers, but wouldn't have the stout low rpms that you are looking for. I am not sure what the mustang had on it for the SC.
Just from driving mine the few weeks since I have had the turbo on it I would say you are in the right mind frame. There is a little lag time that the radix would take care of. You would have one fun ride!

Just my opinion, but since the radix would have to work extra hard on the top end, wouldnt that make your IAT temps skyrocket, causing you to lose power? You may have to put water/meth at the radix.
I saw an article in a mustang magazine that on an 03 cobra, they kept the stock blower, but added a hellion twin turbo system, and made BIG power, so it indeed can be done.

Ok,here are hint's if you want to do it right.
Keep the magnacharger spinning slow with the 3.2 pulley.Smaller pulley will add a ton of heat and actually lose power. Get the right size turbo like atleast a S85 with T6 flange,4" or 5" downpipe/exhaust. Use a front mount intercooler for the turbo and methenol will be a big help.

Thank you Slowhawk. I have a 3.2" pulley so that would go on first. It may be easier to package two turbos under the hood, so I would probably use two T4 66's. If a single would work any better I could use an S88. I would like to make between 800-1000HP.

I'm no physicist, but it would seem that any given blower would only be able to move/allow a certain maximum amount of air through it, based upon the rotor diameter, size, speed, etc. At a certain point, if your motor needs more than this maximum, the blower becomes an impediment.
For this to work with a 112 on a 408, I think you would need to be able to bypass the blower completely after a certain RPM.

i wondered the same thing but thats not how it works. the blower is able to add more presure to whatever is fed to it. the air going into the blower is allready at a higher density and then it compounds that.
the helion kit on that cobra that was mentioned is able to add significant boost on top of the 20psi the turbos are doing.
another way to look at it is how the compounded turbos work for the diesel trucks. a turbo can only goto 25-40psi depending on the boost map. they compound 2 or 3 turbos and end up with over 100psi. each turbo is able to add more presure and in the end it is way more presure than any one could do. this isn't a perfect example because we dont need high presure but it kinda shows how feeding boost into the inlet of one turbo totaly changes the max output.
