Another way to look at it... A 112 Maggy is supposed to move 112 ci of air in 1 revolution at 1 natural atmosphere (what we live in). Now, when you add a second atmosphere, (14.7 psi of boost via the turbo) the that same compressor will now move 224 ci of air per revolution. Make since?

Everyone who knows me knows I have wanted to do a compound boost setup for a long time. Was going to do it on my 4.8 when I had the STS and use a M90 supercharger, I just needed more $$

I think the biggest problem will be heat. but it does sound fun as hell to do.....

I bet it won't be. Pulley down on the maggy, and let the turbo do the work after 4Krpm.

I like the compound scenario, I have always thought it would work, but certainly with alot of experimenting, otherwise these manufacturers who have HUGE budgets for these experiments would have introduced it in mass form already. I think there is a a workable scenario, just not applicable in the masses.

you can and probably should intercool it between stages.

that's what i was imagining. I agree up front, room is valuable as you'll need liquid to air intercool for the blower, then A/A for the turbo, so room is certainly limited, but I bet...I bet the intercooling of the turbo will help battle some of your roots blower issues. But who cares if you pulley up, I am just curious how that works physically with a blower pullied to only GIVE 7 PSI but have a turbo in front of it giving 20psi.

yes yes yes I agree , it will be tight on room and the roots will still steal some IAT's from you, but I bet it would work in some sense.

I would run a large A/A after the turbos before the radix. The efficiency of the radix shouldn't need to be stretched too much, so I wouldn't expect it to make more heat than normal. If I run 10psi out of the turbos through big enough intercoolers, how much heat above ambient would I end up with?

For example, if I ran 14.7psi into the radix, the adiabatic islands on the flow chart will remain the same at twice the flow rate, correct?

This build is for a 1964 fleetside truck. I had plans to relocate the radiator to make room for any size intercooler in the front.
