112...will it work?
Hey guys....
I am always following all of your builds/how-to's/troubleshooting threads. So hopefully i can get all of your opinions with my future engine setup...I am having Rex build me a forged 370 with about 9-9.5:1 comp, mild california smog compliant cam, and ported 317 heads by WCCH.
I currently have the 112 maggie on my 5.3 that i am planning on putting on the 6.0. I know all of the threads recommend the 122 at the least, but i need to use that money that i would use to upgrade the s/c to rebuild my 4L80-E while my engine is out. I know the efficiency is not as good on the 112 as the 122, but i also was wondering if my drivnig style/needs will play a roll (as well as my pocket book $$$).
I rarely go above 5000 RPM and when i do, its not often and not for long. Most of it is seat of the pants, stop light to stop light type driving, along with freeway cruising. So bottom line question(s) i guess are:
--will the 112 s/c work on the 6.0?
--will the 42lb/hr injectors work?
--and with a mild cam/112 how will that setup be for a DD?
Any advice or help would be great. Thanks guys.

I can tell you that the 112 ran out of gas on my stock LQ9 and if you are going to the hrouble of building a motor you need to think about upgrading. If you want to stick with Maggie, which is not a bad choice, then I would look at the TVS offerings.

The42# injectors will works. If you go down in pulley size 3.0 or smaller, you are going to need larger injectors or meth injection.
With a mild cam (GT2-3 is a good choice), the 112 will really shine in the mid upper RPM range.
I made 500+ rwhp with a nearly max effort radix 112/6.0 combo.
