It will work and run great, but....you're limited to about 450rwhp. If you're OK with that HP level, you'll like it. It will make mad power down low, but run out of breath. I'm in the process of upgrading to the 122 on my 6.0L. I think the 112 is a whole lot better fit for a smaller engine.

Swaping out the 5.3L for a 6.0L LQ4, adding 2.8" pulley for the 3.0, adding 90mm throttle body and modded JTube, and adding 60# motrons netted me a whopping 35rwhp. The 112 just can't feed that many cubes. About 415 with the 5.3L and about 450rwhp with the 6.0L. I bet I could have gotten close to 450 with the 5.3L just by adding the 2.8" pulley vs the 3.0"

i wouldnt mind upgrading in the future....but if i can avoid it for now, i need to. my 80-e has about 4 years in my truck (unk amount of miles..im guessing 35K-ish..and it was out of a rollover with about 20k on it) and when it shifts from 3 to 4 it slips a little. i would rather rebuild that and swap the blowers out later on.

it sounds like the 112 isnt the ideal thing to do, but for now, as long as it will work....my wallet will be much happier right now....and so will i, because my wife will hang me if i keep spending $$$.

another question...would it benefit me more to put the 112 on it or leave it n/a? it seems like leaving it n/a would actually require more work than putting the 112 on it??

I wouldnt say you are limited to 450rwhp. I made 448 with about 5psi on my lq4. Meth and a 2.9 pulley got me to 475. 90mm and tuning got me to 505rwhp. More tuning and I made 513rwhp on the 22's. I have seen 545rwhp on the dynapack dyno which reads power output right from the axles hub.

Different people have had different experiences I guess. This mighty little 112 did OK on a 370. ........................................112HH..... .......................................

keep running the 112,dont need to spend money on n/a stuff when you are not going to stick with it.fix the tranny issues. Stay on track, you have a good plan.when all else is done then add the bigger blower and sell the 112.

Leave the 112 on for now. You'll still be able to enjoy a little boost, now, and then.

Yeah I am not sure about not being able to put near 600 horses at the wheels with the 112/6.0. A pulley change alone will give more than 35rwhp, depending on pulley size.
