12.5 afr?

If your tuner has a problem tuning the vehicle how you want it then you should go somewhere else anyway IMO. It doesn't belong ti him, so in turn he should respect your wishes... What's the timing set to??
Like I said, I'm sure it flys, but with these weak *** stock pistons all it takes is the first drop of bad fuel or the slightest hint of knock due to increased load or heat then you'll be researching a new shortblock... Ask me how I know

I'm with the other guy's on this one, would you rather the tuner have hurt feelings because you questioned his tune or you having hurt feelings because you fried a piston. Bottom line is it's your truck and your just asking to make it as safe as possible, even if you give up a pony or two to do it. I would think the tuner would respect that.
Also while heat is bad, it would really scare me running on the edge when cold weather hits!

wow. i wouldnt run it that lean.i run mine at 11PSI and in full boost my A/F is only 10.8 which i know is really fat but id rather be safe than sorry. When i run the bottle i run 110 octane and a 65 shot on 11 psi and my A/F is only 11.4 in full boost. id say 12.5 is way to lean. it would be good tune for a N/A setup

OK, I took her out this AM with the Predator hand held in live diagnostics to monitor the spark and KR.
I let it idle warm up and took it out and made 3 WOT runs from a very slow roll to save tires into 3rd gear before running out of road.
"18.3" Spark.
"0" KR.
12.2 to 12.4 AFR, holding steady @ 12.4 as she settled out at the top RPM's before shifting.
The AFR's on the PLX were not touching 12.5 like on interstate on the way home from the shop perhaps because of the HOT afternoon 98 degree temps then and she may have not been at FULL temps on the first 2 runs. It was a 10:00 AM @ 85 degrees during the runs.
So looking at no KR and the spark do the numbers look any better to you guys?
There is no telling what else he did in the tune. I know this guy is very, very good at what he does. He is an engine builder also.
Look at his work. He tuned these CARS
