Default 2 or 3 bar OS?

I will be installing a Kenne Bell 2.8L on my forged 370 in a couple of weeks and am tring to determine which OS from HPTuners I should use. I intend to only run the stock 7-8psi for a while untill I can upgrade my drivetrain then I will be adding a 8-rib setup that should put me around 15-16psi. My questions are... does the 3bar OS have the same resolution in the 0-15psi range as the 2bar? How about MAP sensors.. will a 3bar MAP have good resolution at 0-8psi and even 15 psi? Lastly, how do you compensate a 2bar VE if you go a few psi over the table limits?

Default

A 3 bar will not have the same resolution as a 2 bar anywhere within the range a 2 bar reads. The reason being is that our trucks use a 0-5V signal for the MAP sensor. So if your MAP reads vacuum to 29psi your resolution in the vacuum to 15psi range will be diminished since you only have 5V to work with. As for fueling past 14.7psi with a 2 bar, you can use your PE table. The BE table won't help you much since it's MAP dependent too. I just used the PE table when I was still running a 1 bar MAP with boost. I'm sure there are other/better ways though.
