Damnit son.... Really sorry hear that. Sounds like she detonated pretty good on that spike... Seems like a waste gate problem that costs someone a lot of money gets posted every 60 days or so....
Sorry man, if you was close to Charleston I'd help with pullin it. Take a break, cool off , and keep your head up.

I guess my next question is, which years are a straight up bolt in (2001)? Would like to stick with 4.8 or 5.3, this turbo is too small for a 6.0. I would like to stick with my current PCM as it already has the blackbear tune. Which years have the same fuel setup (return/returnless)? Thanks guys.

Holy sh!$batman. Sorry to hear that. You can just your existing intake manifold on whatever engine you pick up. It would be nice to head stud it along with some ls9 gaskets before it goes in too. Would be handy if you decided to go 15-20 psi later on.......... Again ha

Any of the motors will work with your current parts. All you would need is a different tune if you go up in displacement. Also the turbo can work on the 6L, you'll just be running less boost. It will make the same power since it will flow the same amount of cfm's, you'll just have more low end torque.

Really sorry to hear man, thats a major bummer. I hope you find a good deal on a motor and can get it all going quickly. 4.8's are pretty common and can probably find one pretty easy I would think.

There's a 120k mile 4.8 just an hour away for $500, says its 155-160 compression, I'll likely go that route. I'll use a 5.3 if I can find one quickly, but 6.0's go for a premium up here from what I've seen. I'll keep you guys posted, thanks for the support.
