Default 255 fuel pump pressure drop on 408

so my trucks getting road tested at the dyno shop and they said when they gear down at 60mph the fuel pressure drops to around 20 pounds, now i need to know what i can do. can i get a magnavolt? run a second 255 intank with a hobbs switch? is there a bigger intank pump out there somewhere?

Mine was doing the same thing after I upgraded turbo's. 40 was the lowest it went down to when my tuner was logging it though. I have a single 255 in tank, and I installed a Boost-a-pump and everything is working great. I'm assuming your injectors are sufficient enough for more fuel?

I'm using two intank walboros running at the same time with no issues. The bucket modding wasn't too bad and just drilled a small hole on top of canister to run power for second pump.

It all depends on how much power your truck is going to produce.
If it's under 500hp, a walbro and 60's should be enough.
If it's over, I'd look into dual walbros.

Is that fwhp or rwhp?

What's stock fuel pump rating, rwhp? with 42# injectors?

well i just got it dyno'd at westers garage in tilley up here, and they said their dyno isn't calibrated for elevation correction and some other things, so far, running a little fat for the first while, it put down 410 horse to the wheels and 400 torque. he figured so far it was 570 at the crank, i guess thats how much his chassis dyno under rates it???!!!

With that power, it looks like the fuel system will be ok.
Check out the idc next time, that'll tell you, keep an eye on fuel pressure too
