I agree with Rick. Somewhere above 450 RWHP you will start to run out of injector on the 42# injectors.

OP:
Watch out for low fuel tank slosh. I am still having problems with it at 3/8 of a tank. It can kill a good time.
You got any PN for the walbro 255 inline pump and where can I buy it online?

Your truck should have a return style system. Install a Magnavolt and a Walbro pusher inline pump also available from Magnacharger. That should be more than enough fuel for what you're doing.

I bought mine from racetronix.com along with their very nice install harness. It is a Walbro GSL 392. At the time the harness was a RX-50-FPWHG.

I've got this Vortech fuel pump. Is it going to be good as inline fuel pump for the truck.

Is the intank stock pump going to restrict the inline pump? If so, then what's the use of the inline pump?

It looks like it will work fine but I have no experience with it and have not heard of anyone's experience with it. If it is marketed by Vortech it should do. It is about the same rated flow from what I can tell. Might even be a Walbro. If it is it is more money. 70gph x 3.785L/G = 265 LPH flow.

The inline pump should certainly be good to 500 rwhp. After that you should look at 2 in-tank pumps from what I read. I will run mine till I see a need for more volume.

The inline pump is there to help keep pressure up. The in tank pump can flow alot of fuel, just not always at a high enough pressure. If the rear pump begins to drop pressure you'll never notice because the inline will keep the pressure up as long as it still has volume to it.

Sorry, I mean "intank", corrected.

So, the stock pump will be enough flow wise. The inline will be needed just to backup the pressure drop, right?

What will happen if the stock intank fuel pump fails while the inline pump is there? Will fuel be restricted to the inline pump and cause a lean condition and engine damage??

Sorry for the hijack of the thread.

The stock pump with the inline pump will supply fairly well to around 500RWHP. Over that it's recomended to have a 255 Walbro in the tank also.

If the intank fails the truck will barely run (had this happen to a friends truck). It will create a lean condition, but you'll know right away that there is a problem and that should tell you to keep your foot out of it.
