Default 4.8 with 5lbs of boost....stock tune ok?

4.8,mild cam,head work,victor jr with stock injectors.....will a stock tune be ok or ?..................i had it tuned on 85lb injectors and 12psi with a speed density 3bar tune but my tuner is out of town and im wanting to go back to more street friendly....what will work....thanks

You're on a tune for the 85 lb.'ers now? You're on the stock tune now? What's going on? A proper tune is going to make the truck more "street friendly", versus running that truck on stock format. Your tuner isn't out of town for a year, is he?

no now it is a 3 bar speed density with 85lb injectors.....i wantin to put my maf and stock injectors back in....(hes gone for about 2 weeks by the way).....and set it on about 3 lbs just to drive it for a while....i have hp tuners..

Personally, I would wait until he got back. Not worth the risk to me.

Lol, if you put the stock injectors in when it's been tuned for 85# injectors and 12 psi, there is a very good chance you will be buying a new motor. I don't even think stock injectors can handle 5 psi with a tune.

You better wait.

Why put the MAF back in?

Not to mention, if you mess up, detonation is going to cost more than your extra two weeks of gas consumption is.

To answer your question NO. Do not boost it at all on stock tune.

Not trying to hijack but I got kinda the same question, I should be able to crank an run down the road on 3-4 psi with out a tune for it, I already have a wheatley tune on a stock lq9, and I shouldn't need to change the plugs either?
