Maybe this will help

That thread should give you all the info you need, or at least move you in the right direction. It is for a whipple supercharger, not a turbo.
This is a turbo thread you should read:
https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...rt-2-a-526118/
As far as the 4L60e goes, there are a few very good vendors that can build one to easily handle the 600 rwhp you want to make, like RPM Transmissions. There is no need for a 4L80e unless you plan on making way more power.
Good luck, and have fun reading through all the info listed above.

Reliability will be based on your tune. If you stay safe and it's tuned well, you should be happy.
With me, I was forced to put a motor in my truck this past October. I put in a .040 6.0 with a small (216/224) cam. I'm mainly a 3rd gear kinda guy (with the converter unlocked) but the last month or so, I've done quite a few 4-2 kickdowns.
This past Thursday, when entering 85-S, the tranny gave out, just like that. I wasn't even driving it hard. I accelerated from a onramp metering light and it puked it's guts all over the interstate.
There are some upgrades you can do to the 60e to make it live longer. HD2 shiftkit, servos, etc come to mind that will help. Ultimately, they all die eventually.
Mine had 174,169 miles on it.

Here are 2 videos of 8 second 4L60e cars:
There are plenty of 11, 10, and 9 second 4L60e cars/trucks out there. If you leave the 4L60e stock and just add parts, like shift kit, servos, accumulator, it won't hold up to higher power levels. You need a built transmission, so shop around.

If you encounter a problem with their transmission, send it to them. They'll charge you for the hard parts (if it's out of warranty) but they won't charge you the labor.
Sure, that's an inconvenience but you could always have a beater tranny sitting around if you can't be down for long. These transmissions come out in 30min...going back in is probably just as easy (as long as you have a lift or access to one).
