Default 5.3 p1sc ?

I'm just wondering who has made over 500rwhp on a 5.3 with a p1sc... also what did it take to get you there?

Why p1sc? When a d1sc seems to be more realistic. Also has room to grow... Just my .02 I would think in a truck you would really have to lean hard on the blower to get a 4x4 truck there. IMO

The truck that I picked up has a p1sc on it . When I bought the truck I was told it was a D1 but when I called pro charger they said it's a p1sc . So I'm just looking to see what people have gotten out of them . The truck is a rcsb 2x4 .

Ic 2wd helps will probly need to be up in the teens boost wise and a nice blower cam, Good exhaust. To keep engine happy.

I just got done redoing the intercooler and piping and making it a fmic , also did a 224/230 581/591 114lsa cam , ported the 862 heads with larger intake valves ( got a little over 40 cfm extra out of them ) , long tube headers , circle d 3200 stall , ported tb and intake manifold , before doing these mods I was pushing around 14 lbs . I'm running a 3.7 pulley .

I should be putting oil and coolant back into her Monday ( gotta wait for class ugh ) . Then hope to have it up on the dyno . Just wondering what could be looking at power wise.

So that's why I was wondering who has done what with the p1sc on a 5.3

Damn thats a big cam for that 5.3... Not that big of a converter either. I'd be curious of your impressions off the line.

If you were racing it I'd be willing to bet your 60' is lazy compared to your ET and trap speed.

I'm sure it can't be worse then when it was stock stall and just pro charger. It ran a 13.3 104mph 2.1 60ft . I couldn't push it past 900rpm or it would push me right out.

I guess I'm still getting use to the 5.3 . I'm use to setting up a 5.7 . . I didn't think there would be that big of a diff . . . But that's part of the learning cover. . I just really liked that the cam has a -1 overlap

Yes 500rwhp is achievable from a P1sc without really spinning it too hard.
