5.3 Turbo help (physical size)
Been thinking about forced induction for some time now, and I think I have finally rulled out twins and a blower. I have been thinking about using a single turbo, like a master power mp70. Here is a pic of the engine bay, I am thinking I could fit the turbo around where the MSD box is now, which Is why I need to now the phsyical size of a good turbo for my 5.3.
It would be great if someone could fill out the numbers on the other pic, which would let me build a turbo out a foam or carboard so I can mock things up before a dump a ton of cash into the project.
Side note: I just said an mp70 since that seems to be a popular turbo for these engines, I honestly dont know the turbo I would get for this if it works out, something decent but not too expensive I figure. My goals for the project would be a soild extra 100hp, nothing to extreme, car is allready a handfull to drive
Thanks,
matt

Looks like a Mag would be a better choice?

heres a few more pics:
Old 283
Keg tank!!, has dual sump feed lines, return, vent, and sending unit and is filled with foam
Stainless shorty headers, recently changed to a triangle flange, the slip on connection does NOT work with an O2 sensor (should have seen that coming)
Lots of these are out of date.
I thought about the mag. supercharger, than relaized it would kill me to spend that much money on a eaton blower mounted on a aluminium intake (no offensive to the magnison crowd). I figure I can build a nice trubo setup for under a grand, a majority of that being the turbo, building the exhaust/intake will just take time, buy the blow off/waste gate and intercooler of ebay
So does can anyone give me some rough dimensions on a mp70?
Anyone have a source to buy an mp70 or similar turbo? (I am not buying one on ebay)
thanks,
Matt

I'm a Master Power dealer $599 shipped for a T-70. I really likes these turbos. I have one on my truck and the 5.3 I put in my dads 72 4x4. I bought them before I was a dealer . Let me know if I can help. Sweet bug!

That thing is cool, its gonna be retarded fast when you get a turbo on it. I cant wait to see this. I say buy the turbo and make it fit, you can lay everything out easier once you get the main part in there.
