Interesting thats about 450whp on a mustang. I'm running about 9lbs with my whipple with a completely stock internal 6.0 and making about 400whp on a mustang dyno.
How much power is a good set of heads and cams supposed to add to a blower setup without changing pulleys to compensate for boost loss?

I dont know of too many people running aftermarket/ported factory heads with a blower set up. Most of the Maggie guys have used N20 as opposed to changing heads.

I wouldnt get too caught up in the numbers... The track will be more representative of the true power output. I made 370rwhp on a mustang dyno with a completely stock 5.3 and radix 112. What have you ran at the track at the 400rwhp level and what is your race weight?

I ran a 14.4 on my second try this summer. This was on heavy 24's also. I had never been to the track in my Denali before so I still had some room to improve. I was only running 7psi about 30-45 hp less than I have now. I've also changed to a built 4l80e since then and put on much lighter 20's.
I am not sure exactly what I would run right now but its definitely in the mid to low 13's. Last weekend I walked an evo8 which runs 13's stock. I have timed my 0-60 and its in the 4.2 range.
I would guess my race weight somewhere around 6500lbs.
I am debating on whether to build my engine into a 408 or just make it a forged 6.0 with heads,cams, etc.

No I agree you can't compare numbers exactly but it gives you at least an estimate of what kind of power is being made.

A full bolt on 6.0 with 9-10 psi will make more power than a 408 with much better driveability. I dont think heads will make a ton more power without the ability to effeciently make up the lost boost. A good exhaust system with LT headers and true duals will help as well.

I meant I'm going to build my motor with the blower but I'm trying to figure out if building it to a 408 would be much better than just building my 6.0 with forged parts. I figure with a 408 I'm going to max my blower out so my plan in addition to the motor is to try to fit a 3.4 or 3.3 whipple on there or maybe add a turbo in addition to the blower.
I would add a big blower before a smaller blower and turbo. A bigger blower will need an 8 or 10 rib belt configuration to get more than 10 psi.

Should be easily doable. Obviously theres guys doing it without needing much boost.
That would depend on the dyno and the operator. Baker Engineerings Dynojet reads a few percent higher than most Mustang dynos, not 20% higher. Their race cars show around 17% drivetrain loss.
