i think STS has a patent on remote mount turbo systems and they'll threaten to sue you if they see those pics, better take them down. I know this sounds crazy but do a search and you'll find instances of this happening.

:cough-bullshit-cough: He isn't selling a system, there's no way they can sue you or even try because you built something for your own vehicle they "claim" patent to. Even if they claim patent to it, they still have to enforce it, and that's where it gets expensive and fast! I wouldn't be worth there money to go after one little guy...

Well I have no intenstions of selling what I have. It is for my personal gain of HP. Plus the two of us are out on bail anyway for other stupid stuff..... What is a little more trouble. Like Leon says though. The turbo works great. Off the line in first it starts spoolin at 1800, course all it does is break the tires loose. if I wait til I'm going about thirty and punch it, it will start to spool at 2200. Peak hits about 3000. give or take a few rpms. even when I hit 8 psi it still breaks them loose. It is set to 8 psi, i'm afraid to go any higher. All I have on the thing is an fmu. It works ok... But I still need Injectors. I'm running a little lean just before it spools.

How did you hook up the oiling for the turbo? Are you running some kind of pump for the oiling? What about the V-band flange on the exhaust side, how big is it? If you can't tell I am very interested in how you set this up since I have the same turbo sitting in my garage right now. I have heard in the past that you have to tack weld the vanes open or they will move. Is this true? Have you experimented with the vanes in different levels of open/closed? Some more pictures would be great. Nice job!

I just love it when something that won't work, does.
