70 or 76? Or something else?

My original plan of using a MPT70 has fallen through, turns out the used turbo I bought is junk. So this gives me the opportunity to rethink my choice of turbo. I like the idea of a 70mm with a quick spool up. Would a 76mm be noticeably slower? Will a 76mm make the same power with less boost? Here's a little info on my build:
'01 5.3L 2WD
KB T4 front mount, intercooled, 3.5" DP, 50mm WG, 50mm BOV
Stock heads, ARP head studs, LS9 gaskets
212/212 114 cam, Dual valve springs, LS7 lifters, hardened pushrods
Walbro 255 in-tank pump (might be holding me back), Bosch 60# (3bar) injectors
Built T56 6-speed, SPEC 3+ clutch
91 octane only
Looking for 500-600rwhp, daily driven, good gas mileage out of boost
I'm leaning towards 76mm right now. I'm not sure a 70mm would get me to 600rwhp reliably. 72mm maybe? Or any other ideas? Thanks!

yea go 76.. that 70 is gonna be pushed hard for that much power..
my buddy has a magnum 76 q trim remote mount on his 5.3 with that same cam, from a roll it hits 10# hard and fast with a 3000 stall and 80E with 3.42s. Stalling it up on the line it does take a second but comes on strong.
9-10# he ran a 12.2 with a 1.8 60'

I have a different approach to things now. I'm on my 3rd turbo and and I wouldn't have anything less than a 75mm turbine wheel on my truck now. Yea the little on3 76mm is ok but to me I bought a turbo for the power delivery that a good turbo is supposed to do. These little turbine turbos act too much like superchargers TO Me..... I love the way my pt 7675 spools and pulls twice as hard as the little on3 at 5# less boost. I'm even wonting to go to the big Borg warner 87mm now that iv been follwing the backpressure thread.. take it for what its worth.. just my .02c
