Current record stock bottom end LSx is an aluminum 5.3 with LS9 gaskets in a 82 RX7.

8.6's on an unknown mileage bottom end, not too shabby. Makes a little over 800, but it is tuned on E85 as well.

Yea that rx7 is violent. I heard he was making a little north of 900 rwhp and like 1100 rwtq
