Default 8-Rib Belt Part Number Thread

I'm trying to compile a good source for 8-rib belt info. It would be nice to be able to cross reference a 6-rib belt to an 8-rib belt. If you have an 8-rib belt, please post up the Brand, Length in inches, and part number.

If this info is already compiled somewhere please let me know. I am looking specifically for a 110" HD Gates belt for my 8-rib setup.

Just change the 06 in the part number to 08. For example my old belt was a NAPA 25-061120, and an 8 groove would be 25-081120. Is that what you were looking for?

I think the closest your gonna get is a 110.2. I ran an 8 rib Goodyear 4081102 Gatorback belt on my Kenne Bell blower and seemed to work just fine. I bought them from Amazon, lol.

I had the guy at NAPA plugging in numbers K081105, K081106, K081107 etc.. and he couldn't find a match. I did find a .pdf that has lots of good info on the interweb.

Lol, I'm messing about the picture in the add...the listing shows K081102 which is 110 3/4". I'm running a 109.4" (According to the NAPA guy, I hven't actually measured it.)
It's a pretty standard comfiguration:
8-rib
25% IW balancer
2.9" RIP pilley on a nose drive 2300.
Standard sized idlers from IW.

Anyone want to verify what size I need?

NAPA uses belts made by Gates. The NAPA part number starts with 25 as opposed to the Gates K. They are the same belt. The 04,05,06,08,10 beginning is the ribs. The next number is for length. The next number is not perfect, but it is pretty close. So the 050385 (it is obviously just used for the general picture) is a 5 rib that is about 38 1/2 inches long. A 081120 will be an 8 rib that is about 112" long. The length can be off about an inch, but it is pretty close. If they had a 06XXXX belt that was the right length for you, you could just change the 06 to a 08, and order the proper belt if they don't have it in stock. Some belts are available in the stronger green stripe version. I had never ordered any for a customer, but I believe the only thing you do is add HD to the end of a part number. If you find the right length, do a Google search with the HD to see if it is available.

I am running a 112.4" Gates Fleetrunner (green) K081124HD. As Kyle has already shown you the closest 110" is the K081102(HD) in both standard belt and Fleetrunner HD belt. For Gates belts you can go HERE and search for what you want. The search accepts wildcards so you could search K081* and it would list all 8-rib belts over 100".
You can do the same thing on Dayco using their part interchange search or you can do a Dimentional Lookup for the belt length and number of ribs.
I used both of these options when figuring out the belt to use with my 8-rib swap.

Are you sure that's not a 10% OD IW balancer? If it is 25%, I want to see pictures.
