Default 8lbs of boost with 3.60 pulley ???

Other than a cat back system my 5.3 is stock with the MagnaCharger.
Is it suppose to be makeing 8lbs of boost with the stock 3.60 pulley ?
Don't get me wrong I like it but I just see folks changeing pulleys to get to 8lbs of boost. Yes the gauge is brand new.
Any input on this from you pro's ?

I wouldn't call myself a Pro but I don't think you can make that much boost with that big of a pulley, maybe the gauge isn't calibrated correctly.

I think 8psi is a little high too. A restrictive exhaust will increase the boost a little, but not that much. Your guage needs to be checked. What do the radix folks claim you should be running with the stock pulley? If it's much different than that on a stock engine, look elsewhere. They know their stuff.

It is a 112. That boost sounds a bit high, back up your findings with another gauge and report back please.

does your gauge read zero when the truck is off? I had an autometer gauge that was 2lbs off.

Just curious how high of rpm is your shift points. Are you just touching 8psi or is it holding around 8 from low rpm to shift point.
